- Citation :

St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Ben Bishop from the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. In addition, the Blues have assigned goaltender Marek Schwarz to Peoria.
Bishop, 21, has played in five games this season with the Rivermen, registering a 2-2-0 record, a .901 save percentage along with a 2.44 goals against average. The 6-7, 210-pound netminder played in five games for Peoria last season after signing a contract with the Blues on March 11, 2008. He posted a 2-2-1 record, a .908 save percentage along with a 2.25 goals against average.
Bishop registered a 55-34-7 career record in three seasons at the University of Maine ranking third all-time in games played (99), second in saves (2,399), fifth in wins (55) and fourth with a 2.29 goals against average. - Citation :

The Columbus Blue Jackets sent goaltender Dan LaCosta to the club's American Hockey League affiliate in Syracuse. LaCosta stopped 15 of 17 shots in 35 minutes Saturday night at Nashville in relief of Fredrik Norrena. The 22-year-old was recalled late Friday after starting goaltender Pascal Leclaire injured his right thumb when he caught a shot on the inside of his blocker. Leclaire's injury was not considered serious and LaCosta's return to the AHL likely means that Leclaire will return before the Blue Jackets' next game on Tuesday. LaCosta is 4-0-0 with a 2.09 goals-against average and .933 save percentage in four games with Syracuse.
